In reply to: Mental health mum 's message, "Why do some teachers only post photos of dancers who win from Ulsters? So disrespectful to dancers who danced and didn’t recall. Teachers who post photos of all their dancers regardless of position, well done to you’s that’s how it should be. What sort of message does that send out? Such a detrimental effect to the mental health of dancers who are already bitterly disappointed and speaks volumes about the nature of those teachers and who to avoid if you are considering a move!" on Sun, Nov 03 2024, 12:10:40

Some dancers have 2 clean rounds yet aren’t what the judges are looking for. it’s happened my DD previously. She wasn’t featured on her schools social media because she didnt get a medal. There is absolutely no trace of her even competing on her schools pages. It really affected her more than not recalling. She worked just as hard in preparation for it and didn’t recall yet another dancer in our school had a stumble which was ignored by the adjudicators, and recalled and they were splashed over all of the schools social media. Some teachers do it on badness as a way to punish or bully dancers. My daughter had a very hard time because of this, she felt like she wasn’t good enough, the teacher hated her, she couldn’t dance, she almost quit dancing over it. If you are one of these teachers do better!

  • I’m sure it’s an exhausting week for teachers , Give them a few days to recover . Our teaches have not posted all yet but I know they will. I appreciate them taking a week out of their annual leave to come watch and probably spend a fortune to do it. No thanks these days. (NT) -- Dm, Sun, Nov 03 2024, 23:32:04
