Dear Clara,

So good of you to write.

As I understand what you said, your Nan, you, and your daughters all wear girdle, but you mother did not. I hope you won't think me rude for asking, but why not your mother?

I've worn girdles, corslets, and corsets even since my mom put me in a girdle. I switch from one to another from time to time. Lately, I've gone from corsets to a girdle, rather my girdle ensemble: a long line bra and a cinch. Rather like my dating girdle, the only exception being that I'm not actually sealed in.

When I have a spare moment, I'm going to look for that dating girdle. There's a collection of boxes in the garage; maybe it's there. If I find it, ... that would bring back a flood of memories.

When the occasion is appropriate, I like to dress in the style of the 1950's. That was a time of elegance. I wish I could go back there.

Love and hugs,
Heather.
