That was what is called the Golden Age of Girdles around 1940 - 1950 - 1960. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZC0KdCJBeQciJPlo57Td_kYmP6YnHVum

During that time there were Professional Corsetiers who helped women and young girls at around 12 years old out with both getting into the right kind of corset or in a vintage girdle. The professional corsetier helped women out by fitting them in a girdle or corset them putting them through girdle and corset training.

For young girls during that time they would at around 12 - 13 years old start to wear a bra and then they would start in a very lightweight girdle with no bones.

What would then happen as the girl became late teens working with the professional corsetier they would be fitted and trained in to a litle more firm girdle for needed support. This would happen until they became older around 26 and they would then find as they became older they needed to be daily in a very firm boned zippered girdle daily.

What also happened once the girl married and became pregnant, being pregnant she would start to lose her stomach muscles and after she had her baby she really did need to be always daily in a vintage girdle that was boned and zippered to give her her stomach and back internal organs very needed support.

What a professional corsetier told girls and women that wearing daily a vintage girdle is not just for getting dressed up but for the benefit of your overall health, which is very true.

If you are somewhat concerned about being in a vintage girdle that is very firm and boned it might be a good idea even though not really recommended to first start with some form of light shapewear like Spanx then move to a lighter girdle – then go to a moderate – and finally to a very firm vintage girdle. Which can take about 2 to 3 months of being daily in a girdle.

Another recommended way to become use to the benefits of a girdle is purchase a decent vintage girdle start out wearing it for 2 to 3 hours a day, if your girdle at first becomes somewhat uncomfortable take it off and go without a girdle for short period of time and then put the girdle back on, or go into your girdle draw and change girdles.

This was told to me by a professional corsetier. What actually does happen with your body as humans standing erect does effect your internal your stomach muscles and your back. It has to do with gravity and as you get older.

Standing erect with gravity over a period of time does have a very negative effect by pulling on your internal organs out of their normal natural position. Choosing to wear a decent vintage style girdle everyday will for sure counteract this negative effect by supporting and holding your internal organs and your stomach muscles in their normal and natural position.

What also my corsetier told me once you go through the girdle training and you experience the real benefits a vintge boned and zippered girdle will without question give you do will become totally girdle dependent and you find you really love being always daily well girdled.

Let me know what you think about this.
Thanks,
TOM
