Subject: American Bandstand

This message is dedicated to Robert, who mentioned he became interested in LLPGs in high school.

Circa 1967 to 1970 is when skirt hems were rising, but panty girdle leg lengths were still longer from the previous longer skirts.

This put girls in the precarious position of trying to keep their girdles from peeking out from under their skirts.

A daunting task to say the least.

There were always a few girls who you could say have "given up" on the task.

Those girls were a goldmine to us boys who would get excited in seeing peeks of a girls foundation garments.

Now the problem is exacerbated when dancing in a long leg girdle while wearing a short skirt.

This is where American Bandstand (AB) comes in.

AB provides a showcase area which features elevated platforms (boxes) on which to dance.

The elevation is about 2 feet, which puts the viewer's line of sight about even with the bottom of the skirt.

The following YT clip demonstrates this between 0:38 and 1:22 times frames:

Also for your viewing pleasure (nothing to do with foundations) is a humorous guy who appears in many, many AB videos.

He is ALWAYS alone, tall and dorky looking, who dances very weirdly.

He always manages to get between dancing couples.

He comes in from the left at 02:02 to get between a dancing couple, guy left, girl on right.

He is viewable until 2:15, when they fade out to somewhere else.

The guy is always spaced out, looks like on drugs or something.

But he does seem to be enjoying himself, even without a dance partner.

I'll give Dick Clark props for never banning this guy from the set.
