i am going on vacation this weekend it will be my first one in 15 years so i am excited as i will be learning more about my ancestors. the problem is i got bronchitis a few weeks ago and i still have it now and i feel so sick and rough, i had 1 round of oral steroids and currently on my second antibiotic and i do not feel any better at all. i want to go and be able to enjoy my vacation. i was going to see if my doctor would be willing to let me have a shot of antibiotics before my trip so i can feel better. ny doc has offered me steroids injections before so that is not a problem i always turn them down. if my doctor did agree to it what kind of antibiotic injection would i get? also i am have a severe needle phobia so would totally freak out at the thought of having to get 2 injections. how bad do these injections hurt? can i get the injections in my thigh instead? what position is best to get the injections in? and if i go thru with it what is the best way to distract myself? would it be possible to have someone there to hold my hand to make me feel more comfortable? really scared but think this is my best option
