 I went in for my second MMR shot yesterday. I rolled up my sleeve and watched her prepare the injection. She turned her chair to me and asked if I was ready. I replied with, "as ready as I will ever be".
She took a cotton ball and put alcohol on it and wiped the back of my left arm. Then she grabbed a second cotton ball and dried it. Then without saying anything she grabbed the needle, took the cap off, and jabbed it into my arm.
The initial stick surprised me but didn't hurt. As she started to administer the vaccine, I took a quick breath and said, "ouch! That hurts."
The nurse responded with, "I know that one has a bit of a bite to it. But we are all done!"
