We left this letter in an open envelope knowing her 14 year old daughter would read it. Me and my girlfriend watched as she read the letter paying her no mind. She has 2 daughter 12 and 14. We watched out of the corners of our eyes as she read the letter and the next thing she does is call her sister over to see it. After that the older girl started saying, do I have to get these mommy? Her mother appearing half interested said, whatever it says you need you're getting. I'll take you in a few days.
The next moment they both started saying, I don't want a shot in my butt mommy....Her mother casually says, I told you already, whatever it says you need you're going to get.....I was in the living room pretending to be disinterested but when I heard her daughter say, I dont want a shot in the butt, I chimed in and said, "oh, you have to get shots in your butt? Those hurt like crazy. I'm glad I'm not you!!!" This made the girls more agitated...lol. I said, let me see that letter. The 14 year old handed it to me and I began reading it and said, "Yup, looks like you have to get 3 big ones in your butts. If I were you I would prepare myself, it isn't going to be fun." The girls went crazy.
My girlfriend is pretty strict when the girls need any medical stuff so she said, "don't worry, you'll get over it" So we downplayed it but the 2 girls couldn't stop talking about it.
The following day, her mom said, I'm going to take the both of you to a clinic over the weekend which was a few days away....LOL All we heard for the next few days from the 2 girls is how they didn't want shots in the butt. So the usual foul mouthed tough talking daughters were now pleading for mercy. There was no more fighting between them, just panic...lol
When that Saturday came my girlfriend told the girls to get ready. They both were pleading not to go and their eyes were tearing up... My girlfriend ordered them into the car and told them to wear shorts...LOL So away we drove with the 2 girls repeating they don't want a shot in their butts. I was trying not to laugh and stay serious and said, listen it may hurt but it's for your own good and you can't go to school without it....So calm yourselves down. Me and their mom kept looking at each other with a tiny smile. We knew the joke would soon be over.
So she pulls into the parking lot of the clinic. The girls are pleading even harder. I said, "do you really want to walk in their crying?"...The shots will be over before you know it. Nothing I said helped.
So she stops the car, the 2 girls are a wreck, and we both look back and say, "got you, it was only a joke!" Once they realized we were serious they both started hitting us like crazy....LOL They hit the both of us for like 5 minutes straight and I was saying You two are such wusses....LOL
This is the true story of simply leaving an open letter on the the kitchen table from their school.....I might be able to find pictures of her two daughters but this happened many years ago....
I wondered what would happen if we mailed it out to loads of families with kids...LOL I would love to be a fly on those walls....
