Do shots in your poor little buttocks ever leave you unable to sit down, Nadia? If so, for how long?

Of course they do. After two or three or even more weeks of everyday shots even walking is hard not to mention sitting :( For many days :( But I can't just stop walking and sitting so I have to survive it somehow.

Do you ever have to be held down when getting shots in your already injection-sore bottom?

Nobody has to hold me down, after all I'm adult and I know I have to get these shots whatever the discomfort they cause.

Brave girl! I presume your small buttocks mean that you lie prone for your shots but I usually bend over for mine.

Lying flat is the only sensible option for me.

The one disadvantage to lying prone for injections is that enables one to clench buttocks and thereby make the initial jab hurt more. How do you feel when lying flat for a shot in your already injection-sore bare bottom? Are you able to relax your muscle to minimise the pain or are you too scared?

The initial stab is not a problem itself. If the place is not sore yet, I scarcely feel anything. If it is already sore, it's fairy painful but by far less than what comes next. It is pushing the medicine that does the real pain. I know I should relax but it's impossible. At least not after the moment when I start to feel the burning and pain. So I'm usually "glued" to the bench clenching it and trying somehow not to burst in tears like a little girl.

I agree that the initial stab can be the least painful part of an injection, Nadia - except when the buttock is already sore from previous shots. It is the serum being injected that really hurts and, even if it doesn't, the site can become very sore a few hours later. When all my travel inoculations expire at the same time I get eight shots (four in each cheek) and often can't sit down for a day or two afterwards.

It sounds as though you get many shots in your poor little bottom. How many, how frequently and what are they?

Mainly antibiotics of various sorts. In general, it comes every 2 or 3, sometimes 4 years. Usually nothing important happens in between, but when it finally does, it can be 20, 30 or even more everyday injections. It also happened to me to get 2 or 3 injections per day what was a pure nightmare, but fortunately it was an exception.

I used to get several antibiotic injections every year for various ailments but the most I ever had was one daily for nine days, the final few of which were agony because my bottom was already so sore. When all my travel inoculations expire at once I get eight shots (four in each cheek) which, whilst not very painful to get, can leave me unable to sit down later.

You say most of your buttock injections have been antibiotics but have you had other shots in the bottom as well?

So now try to imagine how would it be not to stop at the ninth one, but to continue through a few dozens, when each of your butt cheeks is injected in more or less the same place every two days :( Or even better, it is injected in more or less the same place everyday, because it has just happened to you to get not 1 but 2 shots a day :(:(:( The best of the best was quite a long time ago when I was a teenager, at a hospital I got some antibiotics IV, but later also IM 3 times a day for 10 days or so. I could barely walk and almost did not sleep because my bottom hurt even when I rested flat on my belly.

A got a few injections in my bottom other than antibiotics, but those were incidental shots of little importance.

It sounds as though getting shots in your already injection-sore bottom turns you on no matter how painful. I must confess the same.

Turn on? Maybe it depends on what you exactly mean, but it's rather not the case. It's simply far too painful, not fun at all.

Your terms "even better" and "best of best" in your previous message misled me to think shots in the bottom turned you on. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I emphasise with your posterior pain because my shots have often left me unable to sit down, albeit never difficult to walk.

How fearful are you when you know you have to get buttock injections? In my youth I was terrified more of the embarrassment than the pain but I now feel just nervous apprehension.

Well, it was "the best" in terms of how much pain and discomfort it caused. So utterly "the worst" in terms of how I felt it.

Actually I am not fearful. I was a long time ago, but now I know so well what to expect, that there is little room for fear. What does not mean, that I do not feel a sort of mental unrest. I do a lot, particularly that the circumstances are often more or less embarrassing or even sort humiliating.

What circumstances do you find particularly humiliating? Having someone watch you injected in the bare bottom and, if so, who? What about afterwards? Does it embarrass you for others to know you got shots back there - e.g. if they notice you can't sit down comfortably after going to the doctor? I no longer mind buttock injections or the embarrassment but I used to dread the humiliation of a receptionist watching me get them.

The whole situation looks as it looks. I lie there "knocked down" for a longer while, some of the rather intimate parts of myself exposed, fighting not to cry, yet with humid eyes. Maybe somebody wouldn't care, but I don't feel comfortable. And as I have more or less problems with sitting or even walking it is impossible to entirely conceal what happened to my bottom, what I do not find comfortable as well.

Yes, Nadia, a sore bottom after going to the doctor can mean only one thing and I find it embarrassing too. I once returned from the doctor when my then wife was entertaining a friend of hers. When my wife asked if I got a shot and I said I said I had, the girl eagerly asked where. I often have to wait with the receptionist or in the waiting room for a ritual five minutes after an injection (lest I suffer a reaction to the serum) and difficulty sitting down in the presence of others is very embarrassing. Do you have to wait standing up after your shots too?

Although I no longer mind buttock injections, like you I certainly don't feel comfortable when bending over with trousers and pants down awaiting the inevitable. Unlike you, however, actually getting them never made me want to cry although at age about 14 I did once burst into tears at the prospect of getting one when my doctor's beautiful teenaged daughter was acting receptionist during the school holidays.

Do you always get your shots in the bottom and do you usually know in advance when going to the doctor that you will get one or does it come as an unwelcome surprise? I now take all my injections back there even when there is a choice.

As probably anyone else I got some shots in other locations than buttocks, usually vaccinations or stuff like that, but it wasn't a problem.

My buttock injections were never a great surprise. Now they're not a surprise at all as I know in what conditions I can expect them. What once was a surprise, was the amount of suffering they can cause to me. Even some medical staff I meet on my way seems to be somewhat embarrassed when they realize that they stab n-times almost exactly the same location on my body so that it must really make a lot of suffering. And as one can guess, doctors who write prescriptions do not inspect my bottom at all, so they probably have no idea what are the consequences for me. But I do not feel bold enough to tell them: "listen, you know, I've got the smallest ass you've ever seen, so maybe you don't prescribe this something" :/:/:/

I'm trying to make various movements and assume various positions to mitigate the pain and burn, but it helps very little. At the beginning I just need to stick to the bench for a longer moment and wait. But still getting up and putting my clothes back on is a big challenge implicating a lot of awkwardness.

Thanks for the insight, Nadia. You are clearly very brave when you have to get shots in your little bare bottom. Although I don't suffer as much as you, I also sometimes grip the edge of the exam table for mine.

The most reliable way to minimise pain is to relax the muscle but that is easier said than done. Can you manage to relax your buttocks for injections?

Unlike you, almost all my injections have been in the bottom. I got even booster shots there and I now insist on all shots back there. No matter how much they hurt, I know they would be more painful in the arm.

Why is putting on your clothes afterwards a challenge? Is it just pulling up panties over a sore bottom or more to it than that?

We haven't discussed privacy. Are you normally isolated with the nurse for your shots? I usually am but sometimes the receptionist finds an excuse to come in when I am bending over with trousers and pants down. I once got an injection in the nurse's cubicle just screened off from the waiting room so everybody outside knew where I got it because they could hear her tell me to drop trousers, pull down pants and bend over - very embarrassing.

Does getting shots in your bottom ever embarrass you; either when getting them or afterwards if people know why you can't sit down?

Putting on clothes is the same sort of challenge as any other movement affecting my body below the belt line. It not only involves buttock muscles, but the pain often tends to radiate up and down. When I am desperate enough I put on some sort of skirt or something like this, which I do not have to unbutton and move myself to put in on and off, but merely roll up and down, even though normally I do never wear skirts. But thanks to this I do not have to fiddle with my clothes in the worst moments.

The privacy during the shot itself is rarely violated. Although at hospital, when I was not the only person in the room, more embarrassing situations occurred. Otherwise it is rare that undesirable persons can observe me.

I don't like when others realize that I get shots, but it is not always possible to conceal. Immediately after the shot it is virtually impossible to hide, as my walking and sitting are evidently affected. If one looks closer, tears in my eyes are usually to be seen too.

Wearing a skirt for your shots seems a good idea but, as a man, I haven't got that option, so I know exactly what you mean about pulling trousers up over an injection-sore bottom.

When in hospital you were understandably embarrassed for others to see you get buttock injections but presumably you also saw them get shots back there. How did that make you feel?

I agree that it can be difficult to hide having been injected in the bottom. Even though I don't shed tears, difficulty sitting down upon leaving the doctor leaves little to the imagination. You say that you don't like others realising that you have shots, but is it the shots themselves that embarrass you or just where you get them? In my youth my friends all regarded getting shots in the arm to be a rite of passage, so getting them in my bottom always made me feel childish. I always feared the embarrassment even more than the pain.

While at hospital, I had a handful of occasions to see people nearby get some shots, but without much detail. Frankly speaking I was little interested. But what I found remarkable was that only I suffered so much. Really bad luck.

I just don't like if people other than medical staff look at me when I get injections in my bare bottom. Or when people realize that something is "not right" with me when I have problems with walking, etc. The latter results also in "stupid questions" I don't like to answer. Fortunately, it is rare that any third persons can see me when getting shots. I look and feel really bad then. And after all, my intimate body parts are less or more exposed, so I'm not interested in expanding the number of spectators.

I weigh around 55kg I was diagnosed with an inflammation in the pelvis and had the choice of either being admitted to hospital for IV antibiotics or get intraocular injections in my butts twice a day. My aunt is a nurse and I opted the home treatment. On the same day I started these large cefalosporin shots twice a day one each side. The jab is painful but the real pain is the burning and contraction with the liquid being pushed. Then the soreness after. To make things worse, my aunt suggested to the doctor that I should receive a vitamin injection too . A third needle every other day. Three days into the treatment and I could not really sit from my sore butt that were full of small lumps. Ihad to endure this for 7 days!
