I am too slim and had rheumatic fever as a teen and started through dreaded penicillin LA 1.2M infections every 4 weeks. The thick needle used to get the thick fluid is horrible and It burns and is painful, lumpy and bruised for days. And as you said they often get blocked and they change the needle and reinject the same cheek or the opposite. Even after the initial pain goes away 2.3 days later, touching the injection spot remains sore for a week or more. I got more than a 100 over the last 8 years and iI have to endure this for few more years. My upper butts are scared with firm skin from the repeated injections and bruises. A year ago I also had to get a week of twice daily antibiotic injections .. a frank nightmare!
