 Sometimes embarrassment can be constructive, Suzie, because it takes your mind off the shots themselves. Throughout my youth and adolescence I had to pull everything down and bend over a receptionist's lap for them. I feared the humiliation of a girl watching me get them in my bare bottom so much more than the pain as to distract me from the actual injections.
