 Which did you fear more about buttock injections in your youth, the pain or the embarrassment?
Whilst most of my contemporaries feared injections for the pain regardless of where they were given, it was always the embarrassment that frightened me most because we all deemed getting shots in the bottom to be childish. I was ashamed for anyone even to know that I got them back there and my humiliation was exacerbated by the fact that well into adolescence I had to bend over the receptionist's lap so that a young lady not only knew where I was injected but actually watched me get it in the bare bottom.
