Leading to my question, I am at the age when visits to doctors have become more frequent, and 'Nurse's' post makes me question whether the story could be true or is more likely someone's imagined interesting story for this audience.
Insurance restrictions and liability requirements would tend to prevent an employee at any medical facility (in the USA, at least) from permitting a non-employee from performing any medical procedure. If the employee didn't know & had to ask the question, I believe the answer would be a swift 'No!'

Yes they do it if they no you. I have given my neighbor and friend both penicillin injections. I was asked if I would go with them and I gave both of them 2 shots in their bottoms. They trusted me as a nurse and friend.
