Hi this happened yesterday in my hostel..My roommate had a sudden shivering and got high fever after she drank some outside water in the afternoon.So i took her to the nearby hospital to bring her fever down.Then the doctor started scolding me because i got her very late.He prescribed some antipyretics and antibiotic injections.He gave me the prescription to bring the medicines.To my surprise there were three injections prescribed.So i got two 5ml syringes and one 3ml syringe.My roommate was still waiting in the injection room and did not know that she was supposed to get three injection in succession. Then i joined her and doctor asked her to lie down to get her injections. She hesitated completely because he was almost only around 35. Since she was very weak she did not argue for a long time and was not even able to lie down without any help. Then doctor asked me to help her and i did the same.I made her to lie her such that she need not turn for every injection.She was wearing a salwar kammez and i loosened her pant to expose her hips. Then doctor got the two injections prepared and injected the first injection in her left hip damn t took atleast 45 sec to finish the complete medicine and my roommate was almost in tears.I rubbed her buttocks as directed by the doctor and he injected the second one in her right hip within a minute of first injection.She did not recover from the first injection and now she cried loudly for the pain.I rubbed her right buttocks and consoled her..He asked me to rest her for some time and to take the third injection.So i made her get up from the injection table and slowly helped her to walk to the reception.She was holding the right butt and told t was paining heavily.She also asked me to rub t for her and i did the same.Till then she did not know that she s abt to get a third injection.I told that doctor asked to wait for some examination. After 20 min he called us again to the injection room and she was shocked to see this. somehow i convinced her and took her to the table again.He prepared the 3ml injection and asked her to show the hip and she started crying before the injection itself. Then she refused completely and even i was not able to manage her.We made her to lie down but she was reluctant to remove her pants and doctor was terribly irritated. Then he called for two female nurses to hold her hand and finally i removed her pant.I held her hip tightly and he gave the third shot on the left side since i told her right butt s paining more. This was over soon and she was looking angry and crying.I tied her pants again but she asked me to rub the butt.So finally it s done and brought her to the hostel with great difficulty.He asked me to bring her back if her fever has nt gone down. I wish it should go down because i cant manage to hold her like a child everytime..Hope u all enjoy reading this though t was a painful moment to my dear roommate..
