 Yes they really hurt.When I was 9 I got a shot and remember that I felt the needle even before the medicine was in.The doctor jabbed in so hard it stung I just wanted to rub the spot at the moment.

You are talking about pain from a rectal injection in your butts.
I had a rectal injection right into my anal orifice once I was only 5 yo prior to some rectal treatment. That hurted!!!
Three grown-up people had to hold me down and open me up for the Doctor so he could give me the injection. Shit!! I can tell you it hurted and it certainly gave me memories for the rest of my life...
