In reply to: Jim 's message, "Psychiatric injections" on Monday, August 19, 2013, 02:08: am

Jim,

Your search for medical information of this type here is unwise. Not all but the vast majority of postings here are fetish oriented. If your daughter needs that strong of a medication for her disorder that a to take refusal would result in hospitalization then seeking medical advise here is silly.

Her doctor & nurses already understand normal shot restraint techniques and should be able to advise you on best practices in that regard. Any other forms or systems of restraint outside a hospital setting without proper prescription & in some cases legal permissions "COULD" result in violations of local laws. Again as I said this is a silly place to ask such a serious question.

This is an EXTREMELY DISTURBING POST !!!!

In response to your question, this isn't the right place to get that information.

But I do know a lot about what you asked. Try and explain to her that it would be in her best interest to take the pills. Maybe offer her something she wants?

If they have to give her a shot, it will be far more unpleasant. They will use as many people as they need to to hold her down.

Thorazine wont have any long term bad effects but she will have a dry mouth constantly. Haldol, which is another drug they give, is given to calm down a violent patient. There are many short term side effects to Haldol.

Any shot will be far more unpleasant and painful.

So find a way to get her to take the pills.

Tim
