I ate pretty well (grudgingly ordered a salad when we went out on Sat. that turned out to be fantastic!) but didn't exercise much at all. We walked slowly around a car show for about an hour after the pouring rain stopped....

went to the doc last week and he decided I was on death's door - that my unmedicated cholesterol is SO dangerous as we MUST have heart disease in the family. Freaked me out til I got home and hubs reminded me that this is the same guy who wanted to commit our son for being unstable (he's not) and wants hubs on statins although his cholesterol is fine without. Looked up what Mayo Clinic recommends and my meds free levels are at the 'moderate' levels and NO ONE in my family has ever had heart issues. So I feel better and agree with my guys that we need a new doc!

Eating better - trying to go with less red meat regardless of the above, but it's not like we eat that much of it! (he told me skim milk, little/no red meat, no ice cream, no cakes/cookies...I'm 4 pounds above 'ideal weight' per online sources and again no one in my family has had weight issues or heart issues - my dad always had high cholesterol even when they put him on a no fat diet). Back on meds every other day (couldn't tolerate statins; got severe joint pain after 1.5 years on) but hate hate hate it...

I think it's time for a new doctor!
