As someone relatively new to Wida I like to look at the results and compare my own thoughts to see if this is the place for us and if I’m on the right track. Since attending over the past while, there are certain dancers who have caught my eye and I check whether judges are seeing the same as me. As I checked through the results I agree there were some discrepancies I felt were strange from a number of judges. European, American, even the UK ones. If you look through them there are some further down the results of big championships that don’t make much sense, a random high or low result. Just because it doesn’t affect the top podium doesn’t make it any less questionable.
Differing opinions make Irish dancing what it is, but I agree there were some very out there that I can’t make sense of.
