In reply to: ... 's message, "You can't say Irish dance has never been one size fits all and then say teachers are only people with TCRGs." on 19:47:05 12/20/25 Sat

You have made it clear, that my explanations are a bit too difficult for you to understand so here is a simplified version. NO TCRG, NOT A TEACHER, just a choreographer. I have also noticed you failed to comprehend the rest of my previous statement, regarding dancing NOT being a one size fits all sport. So I shall repeat myself again for you. Irish dance is NOT one size fits all as it allows for variation, but teaching it requires proven competence. A TCRG does not limit individuality; it confirms the ability to teach safely, consistently, and responsibly. Without that qualification, there is no verified standard, only personal opinion. Without a TCRG, the title of teacher is not justified and is therefor an abuse of the title.

The standard is no different from any other profession. You would not accept a surgeon, dentist, teacher, or therapist without proper qualifications, and Irish dance is no exception. In most professions, and in most other dance forms, you cannot claim the title of teacher without formal accreditation. Irish dance is the same. Without TCRG certification, you are not a teacher, you are a choreographer. Full stop.

Using a title you are not qualified for is misleading at best and professional misrepresentation at worst. Licensed professionals are legally prohibited from doing this for a reason. Until qualifications are earned and verified, the title does not apply.

Your responses consistently avoid addressing the substance of what has been said. Instead, you focus on minor points and attempt to reframe the discussion to suit your narrative. That approach does not invalidate the facts I have given. Your writing style and defensive tactics are well known to the voy now and are easily recognisable, so unfortunately you show your hand a lot more than you realise too. It is not hard to figure out which qualified TCRG is so unprofessional that they would continue to change the narrative to suit themselves on here, its an obvious behavioural pattern at this point.

You have failed to meaningfully refute any of the points raised in my previous explanations for you. Qualifications matter. Accreditation matters. And without them, the title of teacher does not apply, regardless of your personal opinion.

Your repeated failure to grasp these basic facts, despite claiming superior knowledge, speaks for itself. Claiming authority while refusing to acknowledge those facts does not reflect knowledge, it exposes a lack of it.
