I was working on my budget for my Sargent Beach Addition lots, 2 of them, and need some help to determine what my actual cost would be for the PROPOSED POA DUES AND WOULD THEY BE PRORATED FOR 2011? Also would they be fixed?
Also, what should I expect for my money that I would be paying into this POA?
I am on fixed income and really don't need more bills so I have to budget tightly. Please help.

I agree with you Ralph, we need some real explanation here as this is the worst time in the economy for anything like this. Can these people force us to be members because members are who pays, right? I don't want to be a member.
Hell I have read how these homeowner things can get crazy and the fees seem cheap but then they come up with these special assessments which can be a shocker for everyone. All this just makes people mad as hell and the recreation is over. We have gone this long, why now and what is the true cost of this highly questionable encroachment on our freedom. I am not retired like you but this economy has taken a toll on my 401k and my expenses seem to be gaining on my bank balances that is for sure. I am going to contack Vickery because there is strength in numbers and he seems to have something going on. Maybe you can do the same. What is really bad about this property owner thing I understand they can put a lien against your property if you don't pay what they say you owe. I don't care for this at all and this doesn't seem too friendly. I understand there are some people involved here that have done somequestionable things on the island too.

I am so sorry for not responding sooner in support of my neighborhood. I have been so lazy and thought others could take care of the matter and now realize how important it is that we all get involved before it is too late.It looks like all this need for control stuff has gotten so far out of hand. And I too am asking why? Isn't that what all the fuss was about across the bridge, homeowners disputes? I understand that was a mess and very expensive. Seems that Vickery person is right and I will e-mail him and spred the word to my friends to do the same because I really don't know much about these homeowner associations other than my neighborhood in Sugar Land but it is so new, we don't have these issues of Sargent Beach. These people seem so vicious. What are they thinking? Are they communist? Shoving their ideas down our throats.
