Dodge, at least, DID offer an option called the Open Road Suspension or Touring package on the St. Regis.
I am not sure if Chrysler or Plymouth listed that feature on their R bodies as well.
And, yes I have seen a few St. Regis's with that setup: the rear sway bar is a dead giveaway..........on a blatantly civilian car.
It was essentially the police chassis/suspension system.
