Chuck, first of all, the PW and 9I are great for shorter shots, especially are the green. The wide sole allows a the club to pass through most if not all lie's. I would suggest a sand wedge just in case you find yourself in a bunker, with the ball buried.

So from 120 yards in (or whatever your full swinging PW is) you're saying use the PW and change your swing for the distance? Not saying this is 'wrong' but up until now I've used all four of the 1-iron wedges and been able to take a normal swing until about 50 yards out.
