Subject: 3 and 4 irons

77 year old amateur golfer with little experience. Am interested in single length clubs and intrigued by hybrid irons and I have questions. Purpose of No's 3 and 4 hybrid irons. Are they designed to replace fairway woods? In other words if I had those hybrids in my bag would I have need for a 3 and 5 wood whether hybrid or not? Regarding your No's 3 and 5 hybrid fairway woods, are they the same length as the irons? What about a driver? I often use a 3 wood as my drive as I am crazy lousy with hitting my driver. Would you tee a 3 hybrid wood when using as a driver. Sorry about so many questions. Thanks for any and all advice. Al

I am 70 and have the Nova #3 and #4 in my set and still keep my 5 wood. The 5 wood having a longer shaft should give you more yards. I hit my Nova #3 which has a loft of 20 degrees 140 to 150 yards. My 5 wood has a loft of 19 degrees and I hit that 155 to 170 yards. So for me I want the 5 wood in my bag.
