Subject: if a man had done that to a woman it would have been sexual assault, not attempted seduction. Hope Castle learns to say no more firmly. It's not just jealousy, but trust.
In reply to: Theresa 's message, "UGH! I really did not appreciate that woman trying to force herself on Castle. If a man was that agressive toward a woman and she were trying to fight him off that would be considered assault. I don't think that's funny at all." on 23:30:49 10/01/12 Mon

  • Hang on there, Castle did not say no at any time. He kept making excuses, but all he had to do was say, "Not intersted.". Let's face it, it could have stopped had he said no to the date in the first place, like Beckett wanted him to. The over the top agressive sexuality was funny because Castle was never in danger of being raped, forced, or abused. It also helped them catch the murderer. Who could possibly have taken this scene seriously? Loved Castle in front of the green screen....LOL. I love Kate's hair this season. It's so pretty.. (NT) -- Cece, 04:16:32 10/03/12 Wed

  • That´s how it came across to me. Although I can see how it might seem different to others. Have any of you seen the sneak peeks for next week´s episode yet? -- Jam, 06:12:32 10/03/12 Wed

  • Understand why see funny but wanted him to say No and did not need the image of her straddling him. That should only be Kate. (NT) -- Hope - glad the skank is gone, 06:18:18 10/03/12 Wed

  • I still maintain that, had the situation been reversed, it would've been considered an assault. Yet just because he is a man it wasn't a danger? Yes maybe he wasn't in actual danger to get raped; however, we do hear him say no (through Beckett's phone), and when she jumps on top of him, he struggles to get her off, even slapping her back! The truth is, he was pretty helpless there - had it been a man, he could've just punched him. But could he just have punched a woman?! If he had, who would be the one in trouble? It'd be Castle, not the 'attacker'. It's showcasing a total double standard. (NT) -- Nic/Colie, 15:06:59 10/03/12 Wed

  • I agree. It was so over the top I didn't take it seriously either. Especially considering what he told Kate about hiding from her in the bathroom, etc. The scene really didn't bother me because I was too busy thinking about how much I loved the bikini she was wearing and wishing I still looked good enough to wear one! LOL (NT) -- JJ Ronda, 19:40:11 10/03/12 Wed
