I had a paddle through my old emails and found that it was Roger Bishop who fitted a Grove Undercarriage with the main wheels set slightly forward. I emailed Roger on the subject and he advised me as follows:


Hi Bob. Yes I did change the position slightly. I dont have a spec but When I changed the U/C I made a jig of the old position then when I fitted the Grove I shifted the axle position 1.5" forward. The grove was also 1.5" taller further improving the geometry. Hope that helps. Roger
