Hi Russ, nice to see you on the forum.

Just a thought, but if the previous owner had resorted to hammering the pins through the spars there is a risk that some delamination of the fuselage hard points may have occurred. Might be an idea to have a really good look at them with a decent mirror and a bright light. It's probably fine, but the build manual did mention that hammering these pins in is NOT a good idea. If they are excessively tight then you need to very carefully ream out the holes to obtain a good tight fit using hand pressure only with a bit of lube on the pins.
