It's all going to be about visualization during the course walk. And trying to reduce the number of cones you actually look at. I try to pick out cones during the walk, then practice looking for them in my head before I ever drive the course (and after every run except the last one). I'm the dude sitting 20 feet before the start line with my eyes closed...

I've heard the AMod guys tend to have sections where their car is so fast, they are driving "blind", without having time to actually see the course. Having the course in your head is critical for them. Then again, they have huge wings.
