Yes, the TPS is easy to test inplace. You simply measure the resistance between the center pin(ground) and either of the others.
With the throttle closed you should read zero ohms or very close to it at pin one. If you can't see the pin numbers don't worry...the other one should be open or zillions of oms.
To test the WOT switch, watch the meter as you open the throttle. It should drop from high ohms then down at around 2/3rds throttle. I'm not certain but I think the WOT switch may be a variable resistance and should drop to zero as you reach the wide open position.
So, you want the first pin to read zero with the throttle closed then go high as soon as you open the throttle the slightest little bit. If it doesn't seem to work that way, it either needs adjustment or a thorough cleaning.
