Randy---Good question...I am not sure...Loverboy has not been in my area (Portland OR) in awhile....I know when they sold six, i ended up purchasing a copy at one of their shows. I honestly do not understand the bands marketing strategy...They might needs some help with marketnig (I am a marketing professor)....One golden rule is to under promise and over deliver....they have done just the opposite with this new release...I like the idea of creating buzz...or building buzz prior to a new release...But---you just cant understand promising your best customers (us) that an album is going to be released and then disspoint everyone. Its almost better for the band to say the ablum will be out in the next 2 years---then release the ablum one year early and the band looks like heros....you know? I know....Loyal fans will put up with this and will buy the album anyway...But what about the fan that just likes the band...and is disspointed about the ablum release and well gives up....? Look---i want the band to succeed...Lets face it, it is starving for ONE radio hit. In order to succeed, the band must increase sales...period...as this will get radios attention...alienating your fan base is not a good strategy...

This is what i propose....If i were the band, i would figure out a way to get this new album into our hands....I am not just be selfish here...The band should charge a buck or 2 more for shipping/storage costs and use tams and the official loverboy site to distribute the album...i am sure that we all would pay a couple of bucks more for the shipping/storage related costs...This will allow Loverboys loyal customer base to get the album....listen to it...and then start to spread buzz..or positive word of mouth advertising.....This should then increase sales....

This is my favorite band....But it they are musicians and can use some marketing help...I have a ton of ideas...Heck i would help them for FREE...and i charge $100-150 per hour to help my clients...

Just a few ideas...Eric
>has the been availble at the current concerts?
