Before giving a bulb syringe enema I wash it in the kitchen sink. Sink full of warm soapy water. Then rinse with plain warm water.
The same is done after the enema is given. And, I put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the bulb. Swishing it around then squirt out.

I leave the bulb sitting out for a few days. The best way OP another mom told me was to remove the nozzle. Place it on a towel on the counter. Then place the rubber bulb upside down between the towel rack and the wall.

Every so often squeeze the bulb rapidly in and out a few. This will remove any remaining droplets.

I never had mold in the bulb. If another enema will be given I leave the bulb sitting out in the room where it willl be given .

I throw the enema bulb out and buy a new one every so often. They only cost a few dollars.
