While I don't believe I was necessarily traumatized by those early enemas, there was certainly em-bare-ass-ment and discomfort depending on the solution and reasons for an enema. The disciplinary aspect had to do with my perceptions as a kid, especially if I got spanked for resistance or throwing a tantrum.

As I started maturing, and being educated on the reasons for an enema, I realized that there was some valid reasoning for the treatments. Besides, an enema started becoming tolerable and even enjoyable at times. Self-administration was also a common event and when given by those cute and adept nurses or therapists, the treatment provided a great deal of relief.
