My first trip to the corner independent drug store at age 12 was a bit awkward. I was looking at the various items when the older clerk came over to assist. I told her my mom needed an enema bag and she talked me into a Combination Syringe. It was in a bag and I got it home and in the back door and downstairs where my room and bathroom were.

I used it a few times but wasn't that pleased with it as we always had the red Fountain Syringe or amber Folding Syringe. I returned and bought a nice fountain syringe after I had earned more money. I hid it on the top shelf of my linen/clothes closet because my mom was so short. It was quite sometime later that she had put some clothes away and things had been moved.

It was about 4 or 5 years later when she sent me to buy a new enema bag because her old one had failed while giving my sister enemas as a prep for some tests. I protested, but she commented you know what to get. That was the 1st time that I believed she was aware of my own equipment and my history of using the family equipment.
