Hope you find your way here again .

Guess you were given bulb syringe enemas growing up? By mom?
Did you use it yourself?

I got the bulb many times growing up. Given if had a fever, she thought constipated, recovering from colds. Enemas were given if the child was moody, crying for no reason, fighting with the others or if she spelt you needed an enema.

Never got the bag enema growing up. The bulb sizes went from 2oz( I remember my younger siblings getting enemas with the small 2 oz bulb on the changing table — so I knew it was used on me too), then the 6 oz and then the 8oz syringe.

My mom and aunts were nurses. Seemed giving enemas was their choice of home remedies.

I also grew up in the Midwest.

My aunt had a treatment room in her home. The doctor would refer patients to her for care. She gave detoxing baths, massages, gave herbal teas , used oils and more. And of course given an enema!
