Lisa K,
Got and given many bulb enemas.
Never felt air was in the bulb.
When filling, hold up right. When water comes out hold in that position. Then suck up more water. Till full.
When administering the enema, squeeze bulb till little bit of water comes out. Hold that same squeeze. Give the enema.

I know my mom , aunt and neighbor moms got the bulb at local drugstore. I think it was a Rexall.

I also got bulbs from local drugstores.

This was years ago. Don’t know if the bulbs are still sold in drugstores.

One time when I was buying a new bulb the woman who worked in the store seemed to like telling about the enema.

I got either a 6 or 8 is syringe. She told me she used the same on her two.
Then told about how to make mild soapy water. Preparing the one for an enema and giving it on a table or across her lap way.

I let her talk. I acted like this was my first ever enema experience.

Always on a towel on his back. Holding legs up some. I loved her telling of her experiences giving the bulb enema.

She told me if one stayed at home from school an enema was always given.
She told me she gave the enema when the other one was napping, outside playing, was playing nice with others or gone to school.

At that time I think mine were about 4 and 6.

When I got home I told the youngest one he was going to get an enema.

The older one had his friend over. I am sure they wanted to know what I was doing when they saw me cleaning the bulb in the kitchen sink.

I know both of the were given enemas in the past. So guess it was curiosity about the bulb.

When I was giving the enema on the kitchen table they came through the kitchen.

I did the same with my friend when we were younger. Went to the kitchen when her mom was giving her younger brother an enema.
