Many years ago, I was working as a representative of a paper company. I had to deliver paper and printing supplies to various clients in the area. On a particular day, I went into a business that I called on many times.

I wanted to call in sick that day, but had no replacement so I made the rounds. As I went into that business, I was sneezing and had a runny nose. The gal who I knew, asked me if I was feverish as well. I told her I had been overnight.

She came right out and suggested that garlic enemas would help me to overcome my symptoms. I'm sure she detected my surprise. When she asked if I had ever taken enemas, I told her I was given many as a youngster but never had garlic enemas, only soapy ones.

After making sure the supplies were checked in, she met me at the back door and said she could talk me through the process and suggested I obtain an enema bag and some fresh garlic. We exchanged phone numbers and set a time for later in the evening. I was surprised when she called and asked if I had gotten an enema bag and garlic. I already had one but said I stopped by the drug and grocery store.

The bottom line is that she talked me through the enema and told me her mom had often used garlic and other herbal concoctions as she was growing up. I'd run into her each time I called on this business. I thought of asking her out, but couldn't help but blush when she commented about coaching me through my illness.
