Kathy, omg! About same age!
So growing up the enema, mostly the bulb, was given in most homes.

I only remember one or two suppositories given.

We were staying with another mom out of town for a few days.
Her boy, he was around 7 or so, was given one by his mom.

I thought she was going to give him an enema. Cause much talk between my mom and her what would be a good remedy for him. I knew she had an enema bulb in the closet. Saw it a few times.

I was very nervous, and curious, if he was going to be given an enema by her.

She came and got him. Took to her bed room. Saw her taking a towel with her.
They closed the door.
Then later she took him to go. Seemed like was a long time her and my mom were waiting.

Did you get mostly the bulb growing up?

Blessings
