The hernandez's are the most appealing on the W.W., but are both a little risky. Everyone is worried that Livan has lost about 4mph from last year, and his mechanics are a mess.
If you can get Brown or mussina for vlad, do it, unless you end up giving up a marquee player and vlad for him. With a rotation with hudson leiter and mussina or brown, you would be pretty unstopable.I would try to trade smoltz, maybe smoltz and vlad for brown

Hold onto Hudson, once the a's pick up, so will his wins, he is to good of a pitcher not to turn it around.
