:: He enters the grounds, looking about with muted curiosity before dismounting, untacking, and tethering his mount to a post installed for that purpose. He departs the immediate vicinity, heading to the armory, where he collects a variety of swords and like weapons. He carries the bundle back to the grounds, depositing them in a rack, before whistling shrilly for his students to approach. "Greetings. Before we begin, I will set up my expectations," he began, arms crossed, bracers locked. "First, you do not leave these grounds until the lesson is finished. Second, you report promptly for the next lesson. Third, what you do on your time is your business, but it better not affect your training. Fourth, respect for your weapon, your fellow students, and your instructor may not be compromised. Fifth, lessons will not be finished until the activity is completed to my satisfaction." He sighs, walking forward and grasping a blade from the rack. "Now. I teach five lessons. Each are different. You may recieve up to 10 points for each lesson, but a perfect 10 is rare. As you are well aware," he said, voice harsh, quite a contrast to his previous jovial manner. Fighting was no light matter.. "you must have 50 points to become a warrior. Extra points may be earned, up to 3 points per, for 'practice' posts, such as Alanna's, done outside of- and once lessons are finished. Good Luck. Now, anyone still with me, I want you to go to the rack, and select a weapon that suits you. Alanna," he said, indicating the brodsword she had previously been practicing with, "that sword does not suit you. It is cumbersome, and you cannot wield it with the skill to save your life, should you need to. You do well enough with it, but you are much better suited to your other weapon. Begin." ::
