Frieza was starting to irritate Shade. It wasn't so much Frieza's arrogance--in his own way, Shade was actually just as bad, if not worse--but that he was so obnoxious about it...
He opened a telepathic channel diirectly into Frieza's brain, and cranked the "volume" up as high as he could without actually reducing the Frijid-Jin's brain to so much jelly. "We'll get there when we get there! NOW SIT YOUR WHITE TAILED THREE-TIME LOSER ASS DOWN AND SHUT UP!!"
Meanwhile the rest of the forces going on the mision filed into the Hangar as well, to receive their orders. The Troubleshooters all wound up in a group near the front. All around hem they coulld hear excited chattering, which faded as Shade, Lucca and several other officers entered the room and stepped before the group.
Shade stepped forward to give the pre-battle talk he couldn't give back at CP for security reasons. He knew this would be as much a pep rally as it would be a briefing, and he was ready.
"Ladies and gents..as I hope you're all aware by now, we have a little situation in Zeal. Apparently someone sold them the idea that you can screw with AniD and walk away with all your limbs." He smiiled. "And we're the ones who're gonna set 'em straight.
The ship shuddered suddenlt, as it dropped out of the Time Continum and reentered normal space. A holographic picture of a star appeared, with huge solar dlares shooting out of it."
"We have arrived in the Republic's home dimension. Currently we are a little less than 20 parsecs from the Zealian homeworld, which is pretty much an exact physical copy of our own Earth. Those solar flares you see are releasing so much radiation that it would have been impossible for anyone to detect our arrivl in the diomension, meaning that we will have the advantage of complete surprise."
"In the next 30 minutes, Victoria is going to escape form HQ and return to the Guild base--and bring a Psi-Bomb powerful enough to affect the entire building in with her. The second that bomb goes off, Dreamwalker will use it's "Psionic Stardrive" to teleport herself and her escort ships directly into orbit around the planet--and into firing position over the planet's capital. We will then launch a variety of missles into the vicinity, including one Actuality Bomb. This will prevent anyone from using teleportation or Gates anywhere into or out of a 50-mile radius of the point of impact for the next few hours. This is to keep them from bring reinforcements in, or trying to smuggle Victor out. We will also drop several RFP--radio-frequency pulse--devices, a much more potent weapon than an ordinary EMP weapon, in order to scramble their electronics, as well as a full spread of Hyper Velocity Kinetic Kill missiles to destroy selected ground defences and other critical targets. With that done, we will launch our Valkiries and proceed with several diversionary attacks to buy or main assault force time to complete it's mission. Lucca?"
Lucca stepped forward, once again in her normal attire (if what she wears can be considered "normal"). "3rd Platoon, the Engineer Detachment, and all Troubleshooters except for Frieza and Gohan"--she seemed particularly glad to be rid of Freezer--"will be with me. Once Dreamwalker and her escorts complete thhe initial strike, we'll be landing in one of those." She pointed across the Hangar to a row of five sleek-looking dropships (which looked something like the troop-carriers from Alien, but much better armed). "While other areas secure the streets surrounnding the building, we will move into the building itself. The Psi-Bomb will have taken care of most of the resistance, but you should be ready for anything."
The computer diagram changed, showing a 3-D transparent image of the building's interior. A long light appeared at the lobby level, proceeding into the building,then down a long elevator shaft that reached all but the deepest levels of the basement.
"That will be our way in--once there, we will have a little over an hour to split up and conduct our search. We don;t know exactly where he's being held--and even though I have Victor's Scanner, I'm not sure it will be ably to track him down with the interference created by all the Guild's other experiments. Also, the more time passes., the more Guild personnel and guards will recover from the effects of the Psi-Bomb--meaning that we'll have to hurry."
Shade spoke up again. "All other units wil launch iversionary attacks. Frieza, Gohan, and the Triplets"--he looked towards the three young blondes in theit sleek silver and black bodysuits--"will attack the Starfury Industrial complex about 100 miles outside the Ccapital, in order to draw off their forces. Your orsers are to level the facility, then destroy as many incoming enemies as possible, then return to the ship. Meanwhile First Squadron will fly cover for the dropships, 2nd Squadron will..." he went on for several more minutes, outlining the responsibilities of the various other groups.
"Any questions?"
