Clariss accepted the egg that the handsome brown was so obviously presenting to her. Her gnarled finger sclosed around the large eggs, and the heat from it was warm enough to chase away the aches of arthritis that usually came after a long session of writing. She wrapped both hands around it, completely covering the faint swirls of color that made it not just pure cream.
"Thank you, petite green fire creature and her handsome brown mate. I shall care for this child as though I had given birth to it."
Her formal phrasing came easily to her old lips; she had often used the same type of phrasing to placate an antsy dragon queen as she meandered around the eggs.
She inserted the egg into one of the dozens of pockets sewn into the shoulder bag by that journeyman Tanner. It was an outer pocket, and a little too big, but she didn't think that would matter. She would stop by the Headwoman's quarters after she found A'ron, and pick up an egg pot. She surely must have some somewhere...

((Well, she's just got a list of his 'pupils', new rank cords for him and M'klern(sp?). She'll talk to him a little bit, introduce herself, and so on and et cetera. Is that okay?))
