Subject: A Lazy Day at the Beach

A pair of bright blue eyes flicked back and forth between the sleeping dragonet and the precious sheet of paper that the young artist braced against a piece of smooth wood. A stub of lead danced across the sheet of paper. As he drew, the young man�s brow furrowed. He wanted to get this drawing just right. Slowly, a picture began to form on the paper. Suddenly, a bronze flit appeared in the middle of the scene. With a cry, he launched himself towards the artist. His sharp talons landed on a shoulder. He gripped the shoulder and curled his tail around L�kannon�s neck. The boy was annoyed for a moment, but only for a moment. He set the paper, wood and stub of lead down. With a crooning voice and gentle hands, he coaxed the miniature dragonet down into his arms. The dragonet crooned as L�kannon�s fingers stroked the soft bronze hide. The sleeping dragon stirred and slowly raised one sandy brown eyelid. {Did you finish?} L�kannon shook his head mournfully and answered aloud. �No, this little scamp distracted me.� Balgi let out an offended sounding squawk. ~Picture of Balgi being a good flit~ �Yes, Balgi, you�re a very good flit.� L�kannon assured him. With a snort, Odinth shut his eyes and returned to sleep.
