S'sha was born in Keroon Hold. Her mother, a Journeyman Healer, is Ceria. Her father, a BeastMaster, is Diruhk. She has one sister, younger than her by 8 years, who is Channa. She has a cousin, Samma, who once was an apprentice at HarperHall. S'sha's mother and father moved to Igen Hold, once S'sha Impressed at the age of fourteen. Channa, after she was about ten Turns, started visiting her sister often, and Diruhk often told Ceria to not bother trying to interest their younger daughter in a Craft, since she'd Impress as soon as she was old enough. S'sha's good friend was Resa, rider of green Anraeth, and Resa's little sister Kayet, rider of green Myath. Resa's friends became S'sha's friends quickly, and R'nos, rider of brown Leth, and Chare, rider of green Jaiuth, fit into the group nicely.
