The rider listens, his eyes momentarily downcast as he stitches another sharding seam that split. He grins and glances back up at Kalya. "It makes sense to me. Nice to know a Candidate has a brain in their head," he adds, intending that as a compliment. "What I've never understood is why some people prefer one color over another. It's obvious, once you Impress, that your dragon is your favorite, of course. But how can someone want a color so badly, only for the rank?" He continues musing mentally, tugging at the strap when the thread catches and knots. "By the Egg," he swears, frowning at his riding strap. Get a new set. You've had that since I came out of the egg. R'nos inadvertantly grins at Leth's quip before looking up again, this time at Alara's confused question. He can't help but laugh at her expression, though he quickly smothers the sound. "What she said," nodding to Kalya's summary. Wanting another's opinion, he raises an eyebrow at Alara, hands temporarily still. "Did you want to Impress the queen badly, as well?"

((I correct myself... I believe Chare just got adopted. This ought to be interesting... *grin*))
