Subject: Neolithic Technology

The Neolithic people had advanced technology for their time. They used sharpened flint rocks to make primitive tools. Sandals were made from leather. The Neolithic people grew eatable grains such as wheat and barley. Cattle such as goats and sheep were raised for food and wool. All of the houses in a village would be made of sun dried brick with roofs made from woven reeds and patched with mud. The Neolithic people had holes in the roof with a ladder to climb out. These entrances prevented attack from wild animals. Hunting was not the only source of food. Agriculture increased the food supply. Neolithic people also worked with metal and clay to form pottery.
