Author: Whoth
Subject: The Hunt

Eyes half lidded and legs tucked up against his yellowy stomach, Whoth's glittering body appears in the air over the bowl, having just alighted from his weyr. The small, lanky bronze takes no time to enjoy this flight - he's hungry and plans on eating, not enjoying the blasted view. The herds fan out below him, milling nervously in their herbivore way. He descends like a bronze bullet, glimmering in the evening light, wings snapping out to catch his body beofre being cast into the earth and grass. The wherries scatter, and the dragon flirts with the wind above them, before picking out a scrawny fellow. (Someone has to eat them; they're not ALL lovely and moist and plump.)

Whoth descends, clipping his wings quickly, and drops down onto the creature's back, snapping its spine in an instant. He wastes no time in shredding meat from its bones, gobbling it down with apparent hunger. The carcass (or, what remains of it) is left for any scavenging firelizards.

To sum his hunt, Whoth takes down another mid-sized beast. Then, feeling he's been a good samaritan, helps himself to the two fattest, most lucious wherries he's downed in some time! The bronze is so full, he's practically unable to fly sluggishly back to his weyr. But he manages!
