Ash looked up, eyes wet with tears. She looked into Cometer's eyes, expertly hiding her own emotions from the window of the soul, and blocking some things from Deceith. Dragons couldn't lie, so this had been something they both had learned; how Ash could keep secrets.

She shuddered, then spoke, her voice shaking with sobs.

"It's... just...he doesn't... doesn't care... that I... care about him." She sniffed, then continued. "And... they want... to throw... him out... But... he's my... best friend..." She shuddered. Then, she looked up at Cometer, eyes shining in 'despair'. "Please... do you know... K'mir?"

~~Perfect. She'll feel sorry for me. Now, she'll be on my side...~~

Deceith crooned to Jhyrth.

{She's very upset, little one.} He said, sounding depressed. {K'mir is her best friend, though I do not approve of him so much. But, they make each other happy, as Smith and I are friends. However, her name should be Ash, shouldn't it? It's what she chose; between Ashlyn and Ashela, I'm not surprised she changed it. And yes, her father died, though it was turns ago.} He left out the fact that it was Ash herself that killed him... though not willingly.

I'm gonna make you do some freaky stuff now...
