Your experience was similar to my brother and I. My Mother never let consideration of circumstances and embarrassment get in the way of expediency. She was ever a practical, no-nonsense kind of woman, and finding the best way in her mind to assure the protection of Auntie's car seat at the same time making it more convenient, safe, and enjoyable to look after us boys on the trip, well our protests of our age (being too old) and embarrassment never stood a chance.
