As a follow up to the thread about bare bottom, what about position? Do parents, sitters and others take the time to find a place to sit, or just swat away standing? Who is more likely to use the over the knee position, moms or dads? Do you use the position as a threat, for example, “keep it up and you’ll be over my knee, young lady.” Or “I had to put her over my knee last night.”

My experience is as the receiver of a spanking, as I never delivered one to my kids. I grew up into early adulthood over 40 years ago within a cult way out in the Western US, and the minister emphasized bare bottom spankings for children still living at home until early adulthood, by the parent who was the same gender as the child/ young adult who misbehaved. My father used to strip me naked, deliver a short lecture to me, put me over his knee, push my legs down, lock them into position with the calf of his right leg, place his left wrist and hand underneath my midsection to pull my side against him, and proceed to give me the most severely administered spanking that could possibly be delivered to an immobilized bare bottom with a large adult hand. It was ALWAYS otk and ALWAYS with his hand. I got my last one at 22 + not long before graduating from college, and I can tell you that it was done this way with the intention of showin just who was the alpha dominant male in the family. There are probably fringe members of Independent Baptists or the Inistutitue of Biblical Life Principles who do the same thing today-just watch Shiny Happy People on Amazon if you don’t believe me.

Follow up variation on the topic, based on my fascination with the otk position. Which of the various over the knee positions are easiest to deal with when you are spanked?
- over a lap when spanker sits on a couch or bed, with both upper and lower body supported. The good: perhaps most comfortable; the bad: mom is also comfortable.
- over a lap on couch or bed, but lower body not on bed. The good: mom has to reach a bit to spank; the bad: she may spank longer if she thinks it’s not effective
- over the lap, straight-backed chair. The good, you can kick and roll more freely; the bad: sort of more humiliating as the position normally used for little kids; blood rushing to your head, fear of falling off the lap
- over one knee, legs locked with one of the spankers. No good I can think of. The bad: complete loss of control
- finally, over an upraised thigh, mom (but probably mostly dad) puts their foot on a stool or step and you are draped over arms and legs in the air. The bad, almost everything; the good, position is awkward, probably shortening the spanking.

What are the good and bad of the above from the point of view of the one delivering the spanking?

Any other otk variations?

It’s how I was spanked until I left home.
Kitchen chair bending over the knee, hand and feet toughing the floor by start.
Soon kicking wiggling trying to block my bottom.
My hand was pinned on my back.
Maybe it was awkward, but I didn’t know any other way.
This was how a spanking was given, and it was save.
It’s also awkward that you deserve a spanking as a late teen or early twenty.
