Lucky enough, I never got arrested. But I at that age also drove home after drinking to much. (I was not fully drunk, but would have flunked the blood alcohol test I'm sure.)

My dad gave me my largest & most useful spanking of my life. It turned out to be a very good thing for me. I still drank at times; but never drove over the alcohol limit again.

That's a tough one, Anna. However, I'd say if she understands how potentially dangerous this was, that she might have killed a child, then a talk to tell her you believe she needs a spanking to help ensure it never happens again, followed by a spanking, has a chance of working. However, if she doesn't get it then a spanking isn't likely to help her get it.

I've heard of adults using consensual spanking to punish for drinking and driving, and it kind of pisses me off that they indulge in this game for something so dangerous and irresponsible, and where real lives were at risk. I wonder if the crime is being taken seriously enough.

A spanking from a parent is different, though, even as an adult. I don't think you wanted to be punished like that, and your father was teaching you a real lesson that you definitely learned. Were you surprised by how he punished you, or were you still being spanked at home? I would have been shocked at that age, and I did not know of anyone else in that position either.
