I would suggest that you first talk to your daughter and explain what she is doing inappropriately and what the consequences of her actions will be for continuing violations. I was punished this way only when I did not listen or act to the warnings and it was clearly known what was going to happen next. I was just too dumb to understand that my mother would follow through with her warnings.

Hopefully, you will not need to go beyond the warning stage. And I hope you will think about the punishments, if any, before you really really decide to use them.
