Jill: Yes, the reason I lied originally was because I was afraid I would have been in big trouble for deliberately disobeying her and I most certainly would have been.
I never wanted to be spanked by my mother and this time was no exception but at the time it seemed like it was what I needed to have happen. I really just wanted it over with, I am normally a pleaser so disappointing her made me feel so awful.

I did not usually have to fetch her brush. When we were/are to be spanked she would send us to our rooms for us to wait. She would bring her brush with her when she came in. Then it was a lecture before the spanking. When I was younger she used to bare us herself, but when I got older she would just say "lets get this over with" and she would point to her lap. I had never had a spanking from her that was not on the bare butt so it was just known and after the lecture I usually just wanted it over with and knowing from experience the longer she had to wait the longer she would spank. So when she pointed I was usually quick about getting my panties down.

I do have a great relationship with my mother but I still respect her and don't push my luck. How about you? Do you still have the threat of a spanking or are those days over?

Katie, thanks for sharing. I'm in college now - safe from spankings - but my sister Nina is 16 and she still gets spanked. My last spanking was at 18.
Who are your siblings?

Being sent to your room gave you time to dread your spanking, but at least you got spanked in private.
When mom spanked with the wood spoon it was in the kitchen - extremely embarrassing!
For the Bath Brush we had to go and strip then put on a pj top, then go wait in the master bathroom in my parent's room. Walking down the hall bared below my waist was humbling.

I hated that f-ing Bath Brush! It burned like hell and in the bathroom being spanked with it was so LOUD! Plus, the big mirror was awful UGH!
The spoon or bath brush were for major misdeeds, about half the time we escaped with a solid, stinging hand spanking.

Do you think spanking is back at the top of the list for your punishments?

My sister and I were both spanked well into out teenage years. I vividly remember my last spanking, I'm just a bit unsure of which year it was. It was about 4 months before my 18th birthday, but it might have been my 19th birthday. I know my sister was spanked more than once after she turned 18. Many of the parents from our small church believed that spanking of girls was not only acceptable, but beneficial. Our mom did all of the spanking in our family, and she always spanked bare- no exceptions.
